Shoe Science required an online store to compliment their 8 physical stores around New Zealand. As with any ecommerce solution, the most critical part of the project is at the beginning when you workshop the store requirements to design a fitting solution using technology that best suits the client.
In this case, after several discussions and a prototype or two we had the solution architecture designed and it was ready to implement using Shopify.
Launched in 2021 the store has been very successful and continued to evolve with regular IA, content and product reviews along with additonal functionality such as MailChimp, Facebook and Instagram integration, LayBuy and Click & Collect.
TOP TIP: Never underestimate the value of careful design and prototyping before committing to the solution. However, it’s important to remember the solution only needs to be 90% there as things change and evolve during and of course after implementation.
